GW3 Fantasy Premier League – Results
GW 3 Fantasy Premier League brought plenty of excitement, with a new leader emerging in the FPL Pro League and some thrilling wildcard plays shaking up the standings. Whether you played it safe or made bold moves, this week had it all—high scores, surprising captain choices, and some shocking tactical choices. Let's dive into the results and see who's topping the charts, who had a week to forget, and which tactical geniuses are making waves in the FPL Pro Leagues!
A New Leader at the Top!
There's a new name leading the FPL Pro Leagues, as All Starrs played his Wildcard this week to bring in a respectable 80 points and take the top spot. He wasn't the only one—about 10% of us decided to shake things up with the Wildcard in GW3 Fantasy Premier League. Plenty of managers are making the Haaland/Salah combo work while padding out their squads with some high-scoring, low-value midfielders. It's all shaping up to be a tight competition!
Tactical Masterclass: Natty Mandem Takes the Top Score
The tactical genius of Natty Mandem paid off handsomely this week, using his Wildcard to secure a massive 98 points, narrowly beating Goatsince06, who grabbed 97 points, and King's of Leon with a solid 94. Fantastic scores, and here's hoping for many more green arrows in your future!
Shit Stick Award
On the other side of things, we have We're Mega, who played their Wildcard but could only muster 28 points, opting for a differential captaincy on KDB which backfired spectacularly. KDB's single point left the team in the dirt. Special mention to Sausage Fest FC, who also scored 28 points but avoids the Shit Stick thanks to not playing their Wildcard. Close call, Sausage Fest!
Transfer King: 1syde
And we can't go without giving a nod to our Ghanaian legend 1syde, who's been burning the midnight oil on transfers. A whopping 68 points have been sacrificed over the last two gameweeks in pursuit of perfection. However, with only Herron FC (we see you, Stew!) sitting below, it might be time for a tactical rethink!
League Cup Kicks Off!
It's also worth noting that Gameweek 3 marks the start of the League Cup competition in FPL Pro Leagues. Unlike the first past the post event of your regular Fantasy Premier League mini-league, FPLPL overs loads of ways to win! Will anyone be shifting their focus towards winning the cup, or will the overall league position still take priority? It'll be interesting to see who goes all-in for cup glory!
Captaincy Trends
As expected, Erling Haaland was once again the overwhelming captaincy choice (in line with what we’re seeing in GW3 Fantasy Premier League), but there was some interesting variation as Cole Palmer took the second-highest number of armbands. Will we continue to see these bold captaincy moves, or will the reliable big hitters stay popular?
