FPL Gameweek 9 might not have been packed with high scores, but it still delivered some thrilling moments and standout performances. From bold captain choices to unfortunate triple captain fails, we had a mix of highs and lows that made this week anything but dull.

Play of the Week

The Play of the Week goes to Jurgen Slot Right In for captaining Mbeumo—a bold move that paid off! Well done for going against the usual picks and making it work. Nineb is fast becoming a regular mention in these weekly updates and with his consistent performance so far this season it sees him 2nd in the FPL Pro Leagues and just outside the top 50k globally for the FPL game! Keep up the good work mate!

Bench Boost Highlight

Special mention to FC We We who used his Bench Boost to great effect, grabbing an extra 14 points! Nicely done Sean, squeezing those extra points out in an otherwise low-scoring week. Hats off for picking a differential capo in Vardy which paid off nicely for you!

Shit Stick Award

The Shit Stick Award for FPL Gameweek 9 goes to the 13 teams that triple-captained Haaland, including our very own Bino! After his early goal, it looked like a goal fest was on the cards, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Tough luck to all those who bet big on Haaland this time around.

Team of the Week for FPL Gameweek 9

The Team of the Week goes to Richard at We Hate Tottenham for scoring a solid 85 points! Two strong game weeks from Richard have seen him steadily climb the table. Keep it up!
