FPL Gameweek 11 Review
FPL Gameweek 11 brought us plenty of action, some surprises, and a fair share of ups and downs. Here's how it all played out!
League Cup Quarter-Finals
Commiserations to Achilles Denton 2.0 for getting knocked out of the League Cup quarter-finals. Couldn’t happen to a better man! Meanwhile, Keith with El Guiri slid through again with the second-lowest score of all eight teams—like they say, you can only play against what’s in front of you! Congrats, Keith!
League Cup Quarter-Final Results
- El Guiri 38 vs 32 Baby Reijnders
- Brother Err-ling 47 vs 65 Are you Shaw?
- Farmers League FC 78 vs 51 Achilles Denton 2.0
- GOAL TBC ASSIST NON 47 vs 61 I’m sorry nic jackson
El Guiri, Are you Shaw?, Farmers League FC, and I’m sorry nic jackson all make it through to the semi-finals—congrats to all!
FPL Gameweek 11 – Team of the Week
Jack Denham with Glory Hornets takes Team of the Week honours for FPL Gameweek 11 with an impressive 93 points! Bringing in sub-keeper Fabianski for 9 points was an inspired move—a great bounce back from Jack after a tough few weeks!
FPL Gameweek 11 – Shit Stick Award
This week, the Shit Stick Award is shared between two teams: FC We We (56 points) and 1Syde (50 points), both of whom used their Free Hits and just managed to squeak past the average of 49 points. 1Syde is certainly making records with his unconventional approach to team management, but we're here for it and excited to see what he does next!
Special mention to the 15 managers who captained Solanke—you had a rough week, but you don't quite deserve the Shit Stick Award. The real blame goes to Spurs after that unexpected loss to Ipswich!
Bruno Fernandes Standout Performance
Congratulations to the 12 managers who had Bruno Fernandes in their lineup, netting 17 points, the best score of the week! Unfortunately, no one captained him (which would've been quite the gamble, considering his 17 points in GW11 make up nearly 35% of his total season score!).
Captain Choices
Salah was the popular captain pick for 27 of us, and it paid off once again as his form continues to impress. Of course, many still kept the faith with Haaland as captain!
FPL Gameweek 11 – Play of the Week
Play of the Week goes to the two teams that captained Cunha—BigBurtsBustedTeam and Up the Ornets—netting them 24 points each. Great call!
Bench Points
A shoutout to the six teams who had 17+ points on their bench, but a special mention to @thefvvckinggoat, who had a massive 23 points on the bench, including Onana with 9 points and Mazraoui with 8. Ouch!
Stew’s Comeback
Finally, a shoutout to Stew with Herron FC—it seems he's no longer shit and is making steady progress up the table. We couldn't be prouder!
That's it for Gameweek 11. Let's hope the good form continues, and here's to another exciting week ahead!
Cheers,
Gregg, Stew, and Bino
