FPL Gameweek 22 Recap

First off, apologies for the radio silence over the Christmas break! Things have been hectic, but we're back to bring you up to speed. The Association Cup kicked off in Gameweek 20, with the next round played last weekend, and we also saw the start of the Eurofinals in GW21. Congratulations to all the teams that have progressed so far—keep it going!

Manager of the Week

Chateau Neuf de Pape takes the crown this week with an impressive 86 points. What made the difference? Kluivert delivering a huge 22-point haul and actually being in the starting lineup! Hats off to Chateau for making it count.

Top Players of the Week

• Kluivert: 22 points
• Foden: 19 points
• Mateta: 13 points

While three managers had Kluivert, two left him on the bench (ouch!), leaving Chateau to scoop the rewards. Meanwhile, I'm Sorry Nic Jackson left a painful 31 points on the bench, including Chalobah and Kluivert.

Captain Picks

This week saw plenty of variety in the captain's armband: Salah, Palmer, and Isak were popular choices. However, the pick of the bunch goes to the 10 managers who captained Wood, with Lulu's XI going rogue and choosing Mateta. Bold moves that we love to see, well played!

Shit Stick Award

The dreaded Shit Stick Award goes to The Fvvckinggoat, who used the Triple Captain chip on Haaland for a grand total of… 18 points. Sometimes, it's just not your week, mate.

Wildcard Winners

Four managers used their Wildcards this week, but Sausage Fest takes the prize for making it count with 63 points. Nice work!
